Easy to see how the casual surrealism of the lyrics would inspire the young Zimmerman. The Tombstone Blues chorus, for instance:

Mama's in the factory
She ain't got no shoes
Daddy's in the alley
He's lookin' for food
I'm in the kitchen
With the tombstone blues.

Or Maggie's Farm…or On the Road Again….
