Following on from last week's Bembeya Jazz clip, here's the Super Djata Band from Mali, with legendary guitarist Zani Diabate and vocals from Daouda 'Flani' Sangaré, playing in Angoulême, France, in 1984. It's worth sticking with it at least till 2:30, when they hit the groove. Great dancing too….

The clip poster at YouTube links to the WorldService website, covering African and Latin music (mostly old, I think), which looks interesting. Recent posts cover Congolese giant Franco, and Guinean music in the Sixties…(update: but see comments)

    Yes, good point: I doubt that all the music he’s linking to is out of copyright.
