….to see the Renaissance Faces exhibition. About which I have nothing much to say except that it was glorious (hurry! – only nine more days). But outside…they've finished the restoration of St Martin-in-the-Field; there's no more scaffolding on the facade of the National Gallery:
For the first time since they changed the traffic system and pedestrianised the north side, Trafalgar Square is clear of scaffolding, and looking better than ever - one of Europe's great urban spaces. Nice view down Whitehall too:
They just need to sort out that fourth plinth…
