Great Respect

So she’s to be freed. For this we must be grateful for the magnanimity of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

In a statement read out by Baroness Warsi, Mrs Gibbons said: “I have been in Sudan for only four months but I have enjoyed myself immensely.

“I have encountered nothing but kindness and generosity from the Sudanese people. I have great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone and I am sorry if I caused any distress.

Her great respect for the Islamic religion will, I’m sure, only have increased over the past week or so.

    I’m guessing here, but the Brit peers likely pointed out the worm can effect of Sudan’s actions. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7123420.stm
    Acts 9:18 would seem to cover it pretty well for the British people, except, of course, for the ‘faithful’.
