The Mona Lisa: what’s her secret?
Was that mysterious smile originally wider and more expressive? Can we analyse it using emotion recognition software? Is her allure something to do with visual noise? Is her smile so enigmatic because it disappears when you look at it directly? Have her eyebrows and eyelashes got lost over the years?
Or is the answer something altogether different?
