There are a number of wonderful exhibitions at the wider Library of Congress site. This one is incredible: http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/empire/ . Reconstructed colour photos of pre-revolutionary Russia! Look at these incredibly clear images of people, buildings, machines which seem as if they could have been taken yesterday and reflect that the oldest are one hundred years old.
